கூகிளின் புதிய அறிமுகமான கூகுள் ப்ளஸ் இணையத்தை கலக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. கடந்த நான்கு நாட்களாக இணையத்தில் இதை பற்றி தெரிந்துக் கொள்வதற்காகவே அதிக நேரம் நான் செலவிட்டேன். எந்த தொழில்நுட்பத் தளங்களுக்கு சென்றாலும் இதைப் பற்றி தான் பேச்சு. நேற்றே இதைப் பற்றி பதிவிடலாம் என எண்ணினேன். அதற்குள் ஒபாமா செய்தி வந்ததால், அதை பதிவிட வேண்டியதாயிற்று.
இனி நான் தெரிந்துக் கொண்டவற்றை பகிர்கிறேன்.
1. கூகிள் ப்ளஸ் பயன்படுத்த பதிவு செய்பவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பப்படும் என அறிவித்தது. அழைப்பிதழ் பெற்றவர்கள் தங்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பலாம் எனவும் அறிவித்தது. ஆனால் அறிவித்த சில மணிநேரத்திற்குள் அதிகமான கோரிக்கை வந்ததால், தற்போது அழைப்பிதழை நிறுத்திவிட்டது. இனி புதியவர்கள் யாரும் பயன்படுத்த முடியாது. அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்பு வரும் வரை காத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
2. அழைப்பிதழை நிறுத்திவிட்டாலும் எங்கு பார்த்தாலும் “எனக்கு அழைப்பு கொடுங்கள்”, “எனக்கு அழைப்பு கொடுங்கள்” என்ற கோரிக்கைகள்தான். கூகிளின் பேஸ்புக் பக்கமும் இது போன்ற கோரிக்கைகளால் நிரம்பி வழிகிறது. அதற்கு நானும் விதிவிலக்கல்ல. நானும் முதலில் அது போன்ற கோரிக்கைகள் வைத்தேன். பிறகு நிறுத்தி விட்டேன்.
3. கூகிள் ப்ளஸ் அழைப்பிதழுக்கு Demand அதிகமாக இருந்தது. சிலர் ebay போன்ற இணைய சந்தைகளில் விற்க ஆரம்பித்தனர். சிலர் குறைந்தபட்சமாக 0.01 அமெரிக்க டாலரும், சிலர் அதிகபட்சமாக 99.99 அமெரிக்க டாலரும் விலை நிர்ணயித்துள்ளனர்.
4. அனைவரையும் ஆச்சரியத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியது ஃபேஸ்புக் நிறுவனர் மார்க் ஜுக்கர்பெர்க் (Mark Zuckerberg) கூகிள் ப்ளஸ்ஸில் இணைந்தது தான். அதுமட்டுமின்றி கூகிள் ப்ளஸ்ஸில் அதிகமானோர் பின்தொடரும் (Following) நபராக மார்க் ஜுக்கர்பெர்க் இருக்கிறார்.
5. ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் (Android) மொபைல்களுக்கான கூகிள்+ சாப்ட்வேரை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ள கூகிள், தற்போது ஆப்பிள் ஐபோன் மற்றும் ஐபேட்களுக்கான சாப்ட்வேரையும் உருவாக்கி ஆப்பிள் நிறுவனத்துக்கு அனுப்பியுள்ளது. அவர்கள் அனுமதி கொடுத்ததும் வெளிவரும்.
6. பேஸ்புக்கில் பிரபலமான CityVille, FarmVille போன்ற விளையாட்டுக்களை உருவாக்கிய Zynga நிறுவனத்துடன் இணைந்து Google+ Games வரவிருப்பதாக தகவல்கள் வெளியாகின்றன.
7. தற்போது கூகிள் ப்ளஸ் அழைப்பிதழ் பெயரில் அதிகமான ஸ்பாம் மெயில்கள் அனுப்பப்படுகின்றன. உங்களுக்கு அப்படி எதுவும் வந்தால் க்ளிக் செய்ய வேண்டாம். உடனே Delete செய்யவும்.
நீங்கள் கூகிள் ப்ளஸ் பயன்படுத்தியிருந்தால் அதுபற்றி தங்கள் கருத்துக்களை இங்கு பகிரலாம்.

Hey Basith – I am using google plus. Here are some things about g+
1. The interface is quite similar to facebook. Some call it copy cat. But google says that it would be seamless for people to migrate from FB. If this picks up, thats a big blow to FB.
2. Circles – You can group your friends into different circles. Like "School Friends", "Work Friends", "Blogger Friends" etc… there is no limit to the no. of circles and same person can appear in more than one circle.
The idea behind the circle is that you can share your information with specific groups. (i.e) you might want to share your very personal things only with your family and other things with all. There is an option called "Public", which is similar to FB. You get multiple levels of privacy for your data.
3. Hangouts – This is a very unique feature that I never saw in any of the networking sites. In the real world, we may go to some shopping malls and may call some of the friends nearby to come and hang out?. Unplanned ones… Something similar… As soon as you start an hangout, a notification is posted in your profile and you friends can join with you.
Its a video conferencing facility. You can chat with multiple friends at the same time. But its damn slow (may be I am accessing from India). My friends in US also say the same thing. May be google will fine tune it.
4. Sparks – Many a times, I spend time in FB and get bored. I go out of FB browse something and post it back to FB. But with google plus, I dont have to leave g+. I can search the new interesting stuff and share right in the same window. g+ is integrated with google search engine. It also provides some interesting topics grouped. You can choose to view them or search for your own interests. It gets stored and next time you can just click to get new updates. (similar to FlipBoard app)
3. Photos & videos – Its integrated with picasaweb & youtube. It displays the photos is a variable grid format (remember the FlipBoard app for iPad?).
Overall its slightly better than FB.
Will I migrate immediately?… Thats a question only time will answer. People generally do no use the social networking sites for the site itself, but for their friends. If all my friends migrate to g+, I will switch. Till that time, I will be on both g+ & FB.

இல்லை தோழரே! நேற்று நண்பர் ப்ரேம் அவர்கள் அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பினார்கள். ஆனால் அதை க்ளிக் செய்தால் "Keep Me Posted" என்று தான் வந்தது. பிறகு Bradley Horowitz (Vice President, Google+) அவர்களுக்கு மெயில் அனுப்பினேன். இன்று அவர் எனக்கு அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பியிருந்தார். அதை க்ளிக் செய்தவுடன் இணைந்து விட்டேன்.
